There can be many factors contributing to weight gain, but experts agree that 75% of the time emotional eating is the primary cause. Today’s fast-paced and demanding world has given rise to alarming stress levels and people are seeking any way they can find to cope. For many that means turning to comfort foods that are unhealthy and low in nutrition.  46% of Americans report they are less careful about the food they eat when stressed.

Being overweight can be one of the biggest causes of emotional stress in and of itself.  However, weight loss doesn't have to be stressful. I believe that the very best diet begins with emotional regulation.  If you find you can’t stick to something, it often occurs when you can’t control your anxiety, anger and other emotions.

Permanent weight loss requires an inner shift, otherwise known as a breakthrough. If you don't get that breakthrough, then you'll keep trying new diets and exercise programs without getting the results you want. However, when you DO have your breakthrough, the body you want is achievable and inevitable.
